Perhaps the cancellation of the co-main event for UFC 209 between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson stole a bit of attention from the Bisping-St-Pierre press conference, but once it was underway it was fun to watch.
Georges St-Pierre arrived to a familiar situation, he was the only fighter on stage while his opponent was nowhere to be found. Minutes later Michael Bisping appeared on stage and apologized for being late.
After St-Pierre mentioned he believed it looked like Vegas had gotten the best of Bisping, the middleweight champion was quick to respond and set the tone for the rest of the conference.
“It doesn’t matter because I’m gonna get the ******** best out of you, so shut the **** up. You’re talking about being a ******* welterweight, you ARE a welterweight, ok? I’m a middleweight. I can’t wait to square off against you. Stand up! Stand up and look at the size of me and look at the size of you. Go back to ******** Canada.”
