Boxing legend and promotion tycoon Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues to talk about Dana White every time he is asked about the possibility to fight Conor McGregor. As we all know, the UFC President made Floyd an official offer of $25 million dollars last week.
In a backstage interview with a camera man from FightHype.com, Mayweather explained with a little more detail what he thinks about Dana’s offer and why it is ridiculous for him. While he did admit $25 million dollars is a lot of money he also made it clear that sum is beneath him and by a big margin.
“If you don’t know I’m gonna tell everybody this, the last time I made 25 million, actually I made more, but that was 10 years ago. I’m not bragging or boasting, I’m just telling the truth.”
After admiting that $25 million is still a lot of money, the camera man interjected and said “but it’s not Mayweather money” to which the retired boxer just laughed. He then went on to elaborate on the matter.
“For the last… I don’t know how many years, my guaranteed lowest was maybe 32, that’s my lowest. But you should also know that in the ‘Canelo’ fight I made over $100 million. Just in two fights, ‘Canelo’ and Pacquiao I made over $400 million.”
