Dominick Cruz was recently on Joe Rogan’s podcast and talked about putting yourself out there and being vulnerable as a fighter. Cruz has a great ability to eloquently break things down and also explains things how they truthfully are.
Even though Cruz lost in his last fight, he is willing to accept who he is as a fighter still and will use this experience to make himself better. Cruz and Rogan also talked about ‘Gym Monsters’ that can destroy people in training, but can’t put it together or pull the trigger once it comes to and actual event.
It seemed like Cruz didn’t want to bring it up at first, but they talked about the decline of fighters for a bit and Ronda Rousey’s name came up. Even Joe Rogan mentioned that she just seemed off even in the UFC promos and it was odd that she just mentioned that fighting is what she does and wants to be the best in the world almost in an odd way. Rousey mentally put so much on the line that it really ended up breaking her in the end. She simply had no identity without her belt. The video of Cruz and Rogan explaining this is on the next page.
