Nate Diaz has a goal in mind and his trying to make sure he gets it. The youngest of the Diaz brothers was seen leaving McGregor’s UFC 205 after-party in New York City last Saturday.
TMZ Sports released video footage of Diaz outside of Marquee New York, the club where McGregor held his official UFC 205 after-party in NYC this past weekend.
Rumors regarding what he was doing there indicate the two fighters are determined to press for the trilogy fight. The aim is to generate media buzz and make people press the UFC for Diaz vs McGregor 3 as Conor’s first lightweight title defense.
At this point, it seems like both fighters are not the only ones who want the third fight. John Kavanagh, McGregor’s head coach also stated his preference this week. The coach said he would prefer a third fight with Diaz rather than a title defense against top contenders Khabib Nurmagomedov or Tony Ferguson.
McGregor’s coach even went one step further. He believes Diaz could and would beat either Khabib Nurmagomedov or Tony Ferguson if they fought.
“I think Nate would beat either Tony or Khabib. He really turned a corner with the Michael Johnson fight. I believe we saw a new version of him. And he looked fantastic in both Conor’s fights.”
