The ‘Korean Zombie’ is back and he earned himself an extra $50,000 for performance of the night after his brilliant knockout victory over Dennis Bermudez at UFC Fight Night 104. The news was announced by the UFC following the event.
The other $50,000 for performance of the night went to newcomer Marcel Fortuna for knocking out UFC veteran Anthony Hamilton. What made his performance even more impresive was the fact that he has always competed at light heavyweight, but took this fight at heavyweight. The size advantage for Hamilton was significant but didn’t stop Fortuna from finishing the fight in the first round.
Finally, strawweights Jessica Andrade and Angela Hill earned $50,000 each for what was clearly Fight of the Night. Both women gave an action-packed fight at an incredible pace. They seemed determined to strike it out and got the people on their feet a few times with their wild exchanges in a very intense brawl. In the end, Andrade outscored Hill and took home a well-deserved unanimous decision victory. And most importantly, she positioned herself like the clear next contender to challenge champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the 115-pound title.
In a night full of KOs and fun fights, it was sure tough to choose who took home the extra money.
