UFC 209 Salaries, Bonuses And Athlete Outfitting Payouts

The UFC returned to what has officially become its new home: the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC 209 offered the rematch between Tyron ‘The Chosen One’ Woodley and Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson. The biggest winner of the night was Tyron Woodley who retained his title by winning a majority decision over Stephen Thompson in a fight that lacked excitement and left fans feeling disappointed.

The fight was far from being the best of the night and in what could be considered fair (although it has no connection on how the salaries are paid) they were not the best paid fighters of the night. According to Brett Okamoto of ESPN, the best paid fighters of the night were heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Mark Hunt who opened the main card with a very entertaining fight that saw Overeem faceplant Hunt with some vicious knees. Below you can see the disclosed fighter payouts:

And in case you were wondering, this is how much Khabib and Ferguson could have made:

The amounts on the left are guaranteed “show money”, the amount on the right are the “win money”.
