After a somewhat disappointing PPV at UFC 209, it looks like the promotion doesn’t want to take any risks for the upcoming event in Dallas. The card for UFC 211 on May 13 will be headlined by the championship fights between Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos for the heavyweight belt, and the bout for the female strawweight title between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade as the co-main event.
On Thursday, the UFC announced via its Spanish Twitter account the addition of an exciting featherweight fight featuring Frankie Edgar. This may come as no surprise, as he had been rumored for several weeks to be facing Ricardo Lamas.
After all, both fighters seemed to have agreed on Twitter to meet inside the octagon.
Well, it looks like Frankie Edgar and the UFC decided to make another fight happen and left Ricardo Lamas looking for answers.
I guess "anywhere anytime" means, "no where at no time." #ufc211
