Shane Carwin is coming out of retirement to fight in Rizin at 41 years of age. He will be able to compete in the Rizin HW quarterfinals on December 31st of this year. He just barely received a new opponent.
Carwin is a former UFC interim heavyweight champion and has some of the most destructive finishes that the UFC has ever seen before. He also possessed about the best one-punch knockout power more than any man alive.
It will be exciting to see Carwin back in action and we will get to see if he is still a destructive force. Hopefully he has had time to heal from lingering injuries that forced him into retirement.
A lot of people consider this tournament the tournament of has-beens or washed up fighters, but there are still quite a few of them that still have a lot of fight left in them.
Mirko Cro Cop will be taking on Wanderlei Silva in the headliner of this card. This is a very highly anticipated card of exciting fights that a lot of the hardcore fans want to see.
It will be interesting to see Carwin face his opponent because his opponent has career that started out a lot like Carwin’s. He is a fearsome wrestler with 3-straight first round finishes.
