The former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez has maintained a very low profile since his devastating loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 205 in New York last November. Over the last few weeks, different rumors have circulated regarding his potential return to the cage.
The first of those rumors, that was actually confirmed by Dana White eventually, was a fight against Nate Diaz, which was originally targeted for UFC 211, however, Nate responded on Twitter the very next day and the possibility was shut down.
Then just last week, Michael Chiesa decided to throw his name into the mix and called out Eddie.
“If he’s man enough to step up to the challenge, there’s a big bearded guy in the Northwest waiting to get into a 15-minute fist fight with him. Let’s see if he takes the bait.”
