Paige VanZant is one of the most gorgeous female athletes in the world and arguably the most gorgeous girl in MMA. She is always on Instagram snapping videos of herself and enjoys the spotlight as much as she can. She lost by submission in her last bout against Michelle Waterson, but that has not slowed VanZant down and VanZant continues to keep a very positive attitude and wants to get better for the next opponent that she will have to face in the UFC Octagon.
VanZant does not have an opponent scheduled, but judging by her Instagram account, she is still training very hard at Team Alpha Male and works out on a very consistent basis. What VanZant is known for in her division is how she keeps a tremendous page. VanZant never seems to get tired in her fights and her body speaks for itself when it comes to training. She is in phenomenal shape and has a lot of MMA fans attention from all around the world.

Even with all of the antics from what Nate Diaz said at the press conference, Conor McGregor has not stopped his ‘touchbutt’ training and he is still as hardcore as they come. McGregor has shown in the Octagon that he does indeed have cat-like reflexes and he has excellent reaction time and movement to go along with it. McGregor was able to display his reaction skills very well in his last title fight against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.
McGregor realizes that the sport of MMA is still quite new. There are a lot of forms of training that have not been taken advantage lately. McGregor has even talked about watching animals as a form of training and mentioned that we can learn a lot about strength from animals that cannot be acquired simply by lifting weights. Animals are able to balance and react at odd angles and McGregor plans to continue to learn from animals every chance he can get.

Rizin is one of the fastest growing MMA promotions as of late. Not only is it an MMA circuit, but they do grappling, kickboxing and WWE style fights as well. They have been criticized for having mismatched fights and also just odd styles of fighting.
The recent heavyweight grand prix was quite popular as MMA legend Mirko Cro Cop was able to take the championship. It seems that there used to be more starpower in the heavyweight division with stars such as Cro Cop, Fedor, Nogueira and Brock Lesnar. Rizin’s goal is to give the fans the types of fights that fans want to see. Unfortunately in cases such as Gabi Garcia, Rizin is sometimes referred to as a ‘Freakshow’.
Below and on the next few pages are the top 5 fighters that Rizin could pick up that would bring the organization to a new level.
5. Tim Sylvia
Former UFC heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia could make a lot of noise in the Rizin heavyweight division. These days, Sylvia could even fight at super-heavyweight. Sylvia has not fought since 2013, but has been able to give his body some rest and let some lingering injuries heal. Now is the time for him to make a comeback.
Even though Sylvia was not the most popular fighter to ever come out of the UFC, he is a very recognizable name that people would want to see fight. It could be a great opportunity for him to make one final comeback before he calls it quits.
A lot of people would like to see Sylvia fight again just to see him get beat up. He was one of the first people to shit his pants in the UFC Octagon and he made Randy Couture even more popular when Couture man-handled him for 5 rounds to get the UFC heavyweight championship back.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page was not impressed by Ronda Rousey’s performance December 30th at UFC 207. He posted a video of the famous “Ronda Rousey Dance” and despite getting a reaction from an angry Travis Browne, MVP decided to mock Rousey a little more on social media by posting another video.
This time, the aim of Michaels joke was not only Ronda Rousey, but also her striking coach, the beloved Edmond Tarverdyan, who is considered by many, the biggest reason behind Rousey’s downfall. Tarverdyan has been seriously questioned by the MMA community, with most pointing the finger at him for making Rousey believe she is a striker when she is clearly very far from that.
Even Ronda’s opponent Amanda Nunes has stated that she believes Edmond is to blame for making Rousey believe she is something she is not. Edmond has transformed a deadly submission artist into a mediocre striker who has been knocked out in her last two fights. One more humilliating than the previous one. First she lost the belt to the hands of Holly Holm via second round TKO, last Friday she was denied the belt when Amanda Nunes destroyed her in 48 seconds.
In the video, Michael Page uses the sounds from Ronda’s corner, as we can hear Tarverdyan calling for head movement. The sequence was when Tarverdyan was giving instructions to Rousey before Nunes finished her.
Here is the video posted to Michael Page’s Instagram:

Page has been just one of many people attacking Ronda Rousey on social media. Although it is true that her personality was never easy, some people seem to be enjoying a little too much watching her fail and taking the opportunity to make fun of her.
Michael Page is trying to make his name bigger so the UFC eventually offers him a contract.
Michael ‘Venom’ Page just recently let out a video of him mocking Ronda Rousey’s striking because of her devastating loss to Amanda Nunes just last Saturday. Page has been known for being quite harsh and unclassy at times. He even did the ‘Pokemon Go’ throw after he literally caved in Evangelista Santos’ head.
Of course a lot of the time a fighter such as Jon Jones or Conor McGregor will do something negative, but receive attention for it that somehow increases their marketability. With MVP doing this, it is not certain that his marketability will increase for making fun of one of the biggest stars that the MMA world has ever witnessed.
Page is one of the biggest names in Bellator and a lot of people wonder how he would do against top competition such as Douglas Lima or Rory MacDonald. Many fans are claiming that Bellator has spoon-fed page and that he has not faced any legitimate competition yet. Because of Page’s fighting style, a lot of people compare him to a prime Anderson Silva. Of course Page will have to get some high-quality wins under his belt before he can be compared to a fighter like Silva.
Ronda Rousey is still very much in love with her boyfriend Travis Browne and Browne wasn’t exactly ecstatic when he heard about MVP mocking his girlfriend. Browne recently posted on Twitter his reaction to Page making this video. It is understandable that Browne is very upset by this and many could consider Page very cowardly for making a video like this.
Conor McGregor has made a big name for himself by making fun of other fighters, but the difference is that McGregor does it boldly to people’s faces and a lot of the times will leave his opponent speechless.
Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt is the newly crowned UFC Bantamweight champion of the world. However, he immediatly relinquished the belt to the little Maddux Maple, the boy who beat cancer and helped Garbrandt turn his life around and build his career in MMA.
The two met in 2011, back when Cody was still an amateur fighter who was making all the wrong decisions and throwing his life away. Maddux was five years old and had just been diagnosed with leukemia.
In June of 2011 Cody’s brother, Zach Garbrandt, found out about Maddux and told his brother he should reach out to the little boy. At age 19, Cody went to visit the Maple boy and after 90 minutes with him his life had changed. Cody was voluntarily wasting his life while Maddux was trying to hang on to his before it even really started.
“That little kid definitely helped change my life at a time when I needed a change, and I needed to grow up. He came into my life at the right time. It was a horrible circumstance but we were ready to make it our own miraculous story.”
Two years went by, Cody turned pro and was making a run for a chance at the UFC, and Maddux continued taking his chemotherapy pills. But the boy was losing his will to continue. Maddux’s father asked Cody for help and Garbrandt came through.
“Cody sent him a video and they talked. And he said, Maddux, ‘I need you to finish strong. I’m out here busting my butt and I think I’ve got a shot in a year or two of maybe getting to the big time. You’ve got to promise me…you face your treatment, you face these pills, you finish your chemo, you beat cancer and I promise you, I promise you, I will make it to the UFC, win my fight, and you will be there.’ And I swear to God, I swear to you, he ended up taking his pills that night and from the next day on, not one time, until treatment was over, did he complain or try to fight it. It was like, he had a mental block and Cody pumped him back up and he finished strong.”
Much had been said in anticipation to the most awaited return in MMA this year. With a polarizing personality and a chip on her shoulder, Ronda Rousey decided to blow off all of her media obligations ahead of UFC 207. This decision had a mixed reception, the media complained about Dana White caving in to her whim; her fans accepted it hoping she would focus on the fight and come out victorious; her haters saw it as one more example of her arrogance.
The result? She looked terrible and got destroyed by the bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in 48 seconds. The hordes of haters relished on Ronda’s defeat, -which at least, seems like it could have been the last of her MMA career, and turned to their weapon of choice to lash one last attack on the most popular female in the history of the UFC.

It is possible for Cody Garbrandt’s 1st title defense to be against his former Team Alpha Male teammate TJ Dillashaw. Garbrandt claims that he actually knocked Dillashaw out while they were sparring once in practice.
Dillashaw was first of all asked by mmafighting.com about his thoughts on Garbrandt and this was Dillashaw’s reply:
“He’s always been good, he’s fast, he hits hard. I think he’s kinda a little one dimensional. He’s a good fighter, he’s got good wrestling, but if you watch his style, all he’s really got, he bum rushes you with hooks. Kinda like the Wanderlei [Silva] style, Wanderlei punches. He’s good, he’s athletic.I knew he was going to make his way up the ranks in the UFC,” he continued. “He’s done a good job.”
It is surprising that Dillashaw was that complimentary of Garbrandt because of Garbrant’s claim of knocking him out. Dillashaw has not really been known as that big of a trash-talker and realizes that he has been an enemy to quite a few people since he left Team Alpha Male.
Garbrandt was able to solve the puzzle of the very dominant Dominick Cruz just this last Saturday. Garbrandt displayed quite a bit of showboating, but was able to keep an amazing pace for 5 rounds and was even able to knock Cruz down a few times. Garbrandt has already received criticism about showboating while he should have been going for the finish, but Garbrandt claims that he knows that Cruz recovers quick and is not knocked out easily because he has a big head.
Hopefully the UFC will make Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt for Garbrant’s first title defense, but that is up to the matchmakers and we will have to see what happens. On the next page, Dillashaw gives the details of the time that Garbrant supposedly knocked him out.

It was not the greatest day of Ronda Rousey’s life last Saturday as she was absolutely pulverized by Amanda Nunes in just 48 seconds. It is certain that Rousey would not want to end her career that way, but that is now most likely the case. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the future with Rousey.
Just recently, Rousey’s mom left a heartfelt message about her daughter and this is what it reads:
“All of those who have criticized Ronda for taking a loss so to heart, for not just “shrugging it off” don’t understand that what made Ronda so successful is that she cares DEEPLY about winning to an extent that I don’t believe the average person can wrap his/her head around,’ AnnMaria De Mars wrote on her blog on Saturday.Caring deeply about something and working your hardest to achieve it doesn’t mean you make the right decisions 100 per cent of the time. Wouldn’t it be a nicer world if it did? Those of you who want to criticize Ronda, I just want to point out a few things. First of all, I know her better than you and she is a smart, kind, talented, generous, hard-working person.
Even though Rousey lost and has not been the most sportsmanlike person before and after fights, it is good to recognize what she has done for the sport and the beautiful woman that she is. It takes a lot of grace to do what she did in the crazy spotlight that she was in.
It is very possible that it was all too much for her, but she did her best and tried to bounce back. Hopefully she will have a successful movie career ahead of her and possibly even make a move to the WWE. She will truly be missed in the UFC Octagon.
As shown in the video below, Ronda Rousey is one of they most beautiful and sexy women that have ever fought in MMA. For some reason, MMA fans like to body shame and poke fun of her at every chance that they can get. It is rather strange, but it just shows the type of hostility that is in this world.
There was a certain magic that Rousey possessed while she was dominating other opponents. She was seen as untouchable before she faced Holly Holm. It is possible that she could have been better off at a different training facility, but there is no way that we will ever know now.
Unfortunately, it seems that Rousey’s confidence is shook and she is not the same dominating force that she once was. It is hard to see the downfall of somebody that was so great at one time. Hopefully this video will give us all good memories of the magic that she once possessed.
Edmond Tarverdyan is Ronda Rousey’s head coach and he is now blamed for the downfall of Rousey’s career. Tarverdyan does have a legitimate striking background and has even had 2 MMA bouts. His fighting background is not what is in question, it is his coaching that is highly in question.
Ronda Rousey seemed as if she would go down as the best women’s MMA fighter ever. Her judo skills and work ethic took her far places and she discovered punching power later in her career. The mistake that Rousey made is that she got overconfident with her hands and tried to compete against amazing strikers. Holly Holm is the most decorated striker in women’s MMA and Rousey continually rushed in with punches thinking that she would catch holm and ended up paying the price for it with her own consciousness.
Below and on the next few pages are the 5 reasons why Edmond Tarverdyan should quit being an MMA and striking coach and should just apply for a job at Costco.
5. The Decline Of Jake Ellenberger
Jake Ellenberger was one of the top welterweights in the world and was 8-2 in the UFC. Ellenberger joined Tarverdyan’s gym and ended up with a 1-5 record with Tarverdyan. He then left Taverdyan’s gym and ended up getting one of the biggest wins of his career against the very tough Matt Brown in the 1st round.
Some might say that Ellenberger had tougher competition, but he was beating fighters like Jake Shields earlier in his UFC career. It is certain that Ellenberger will never return to Taverdyan’s gym. If he ends up heading back there, it would be the worst mistake of his career. People saw Rousey’s success and figured that they could also become world champions, but that was not the case at all.
4. Travis Browne’s Career Also Went To Shit
Travis Browne is Ronda Rousey’s current lover and even left his wife for Rousey in the process. Browne left Jackson’s fight camp (arguably one of the greatest fight camps in the world) to go to Tarverdyan’s gym. Browne had a 6-1-1 start to his UFC career at Jackson’s and is 2-4 since training with Tarverdyan.
With Rousey most likely retiring, it will be interesting to see if Browne sticks with Tarverdyan when it comes to training for his fights. Browne has definitely had tough competition as of late, but Tarverdyan has not helped Browne evolve his game much. Browne has actually became one of the laughing stocks of MMA. Derrick Lewis might have just called Browne out because Browne is a big name, but he has not evolved his fight game.
3. Edmond’s Advice To Rousey During The Nunes Fight
As shown above, it is uncertain as to why Tarverdyan gave such vague and repetitive advice to Rousey during her fight with Amanda Nunes. He even yelled “jab, jab” while Rousey was getting her face beat in and did not tell her to move away or circle. Tarverdyan just gives terrible advice and does not belong in the corner of any UFC cage.
Tarverdyan claims to know what he is talking about, but he was just trying to benefit from Rousey’s fame. It will be interesting to see who will even want to go to Tarverdyan now that his terrible coaching has been exposed. He clearly is not equipped with the training or knowledge to be an all out MMA coach. People will find better success elsewhere and the numbers continue to prove it.
2. His Lack Of Professionalism
In the picture above, this is when Fabricio Werdum kicked Edmond for continually swearing at him after his bout with Travis Browne. It was rather strange and was some of the most annoying swearing that has ever been heard. It is extremely unprofessional for a coach to come over after a fight and scream his head off towards a fighter. In the real world, this type of behavior would not translate in any type of business world very well. A place like Costco could be his only option.
Rousey is one of the only reasons why Tarverdyan’s gym is still running. It is doubtful that much will come of it especially if Rousey decides to retire. Tarverdyan is not respected in the MMA world and it will be hard for him to get any type of job because of his bizarre actions in the spotlight. He really is a strange individual.
1. Because If He Gets Mad At Work, He Can Always Resort To Angry Masturbation In The Employee Bathroom
Edmond is a very angry man. He has displayed it during and after UFC fights, but showed his true colors on The Ultimate Fighter when Ronda Rousey coached against Miesha Tate. Tarverdyan always had a chip on his shoulder and would get mad at the littlest things.
At Costco, he could end up snapping at a customer, but luckily for him, he can always resort to the employee bathroom where he can diffuse himself. Masturbation is proven to relieve stress and Edmond could use a lot more angry masturbation in his life. It is an employee’s right to use the bathroom at any time and he would have to exercise that right quite a bit.
We will see in time if Tarverdyan will apply for a job at Costco. He has been an embarrassment to himself in the MMA community and it is about time that he should do something else with his life.
