After the departure of long-time UFC commentator Mike Goldberg at the end of 2016, the time has arrived for the first PPV event without him. As we all remember, Goldberg was with the company for almost 20 years and for some reason didn’t feel necessary to send him off with some sort of recognition during the broadcast of UFC 207.
There was no hihghlight montage, a screenshot thanking him for his contribution to the company, Joe Rogan and Goldberg himself weren’t even allowed to mention his departure during the broadcast.
UFC 208 takes place this Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The main is a battle for the inaugural women’s Featherweight belt between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie. With the event around the corner the company has decided to change the formula a little bit, as Joe Rogan will be joined not only by one commentator but two of them.
