Four Reasons Why Germaine De Randamie Will Beat Holly Holm

The main event of UFC 208 will feature the first female featherweight fight in the history of the UFC and the belt will be on the line between former bantamweight champion Holly Holm and Dutch kickboxer Germaine de Randamie.

These two women are among the most decorated strikers in female combat sports history, with De Randamie a 10-time kickboxing world champion and Holm a 19-time boxing world champion. However, everyone sees Holly as the champion already and nobody gives de Randamie a chance to win the fight. Even though she has one Dutch title in Muay Thai, three European titles in Muay Thai and 10 world titles in Muay Thai in three different weight classes from seven different organizations. And she has 46 Muay Thai pro fights -all of them wins and 30 of those by way of knockout.

De Randamie arrives to the fight after two consecutive victories while Holly Holm seems to be cursed after defeating Ronda Rousey as she has lost her latest two bouts, first losing the title to Miesha Tate in the fifth round after dominating the fight, and then a 5-round unanimous decision to Valentina Shevchenko.

Germaine de Randamie has serious chances of beating Holly Holm and these are the reasons:

#1 She has nothing to lose

De Randamie has no pressure on her shoulders, she is expected to lose. On the other hand, Holly Holm has something to prove and all the attention of the fans will be on her. This can push her to make bad decisions in an attempt to win the fight, if she gets too close de Randamie will have the advantage in the clinch.
