Long-time UFC veteran Matt Brown could be at the tail end of his career as he has gone 1-5 in his last 6. The pink slip has nothing to do with this because the UFC has not mentioned anything about letting Brown go, this is more about Brown realizing that he has peaked and his best years as a fighter are behind him.
Brown is a fighter that lives and dies by the sword. Even though his record is 20-16, it is not a measurement of some of the most spectacular comebacks and finishes that have ever taken place in the UFC.
As shown above, Matt Brown was the first and only person ever to defeat Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. This shows that Matt Brown was once the elite of the elite and even went the distance with former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler in a title eliminator fight. On the next page are Brown’s words.
