Dana White Feels For The Fighters On ‘Show/Win’ Payment System, Still Keeps Their Money

UFC 208 was full of fights going the distance. Nine out of ten fights were left for the judges to decide. And the two biggest ones had some controversy in the eyes of some people, including UFC president Dana White who talked about the co main event between Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva and Derek Brunson.

In the eyes of all three judges Anderson Silva won the fight, but Dana saw Brunson win the fight and he openly said so:

“I had Brunson. I actually had the fight 1-1 going into the third round, and I gave the third round to Brunson.”

Obviously Brunson saw himself winning the fight as well and had no trouble saying so on his social media, where he referred to the decision as unreal:

“‪Wow unreal I put my heart & soul out there on 3 weeks notice only to get it taken from me.I just outclassed the greatest of all time #UFC208‬”

Brunson, felt robbed and as a result saw his check get cut in half as a result of the UFC’s show/win purse system. He reached out to Dana via text and White himself explained the exchange.
