Conor McGregor’s Coach Reveals Plans For Conor’s UFC Return

With all the buzz about a potential boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, little gets said regarding an eventual return to the octagon. The Irishman seems determined to make that his next fight, however it is very probable that he will have to find his way back to the cage before that can happen.

One person who is openly expressing his excitement about it is none other that McGregor’s coach. John Kavanagh talked to Submission Radio about who will be next for Conor when he returns to the octagon.

“My number one thing would be for Conor to fight MMA. That’s my number one thing. That’s my selfish number one, what I would like to see. Which opponent? I’ve said it before – the Nate Diaz rematch interests me a lot because it’s 1-1 and how the styles match up.”

However, considering recent history it seems unlikely that fight can happen upon Conor’s return. Particularly so if we consider that this weekend an interim lightweight champion will be crowned.
