In last night’s main event at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, we were able to watch history take place as the first UFC women’s featherweight champion was crowned. Germaine de Randamie was able to land enough significant strikes to get the judges nod over Holly Holm. In the post-fight interview, De Randamie mentioned that she will now have to have surgery on her hand.
Cris Cyborg was in attendance at the event and was watching closely because she knew that she would most likely face the winner. Everything is being worked out with USADA for Cyborg and she will most likely return to the UFC very soon. Unfortunately De Randamie is injured, so Cyborg will not be able to fight for the featherweight title any time soon.
Because of the situation, Cyborg has now called out a new opponent and it is an extremely exciting one. This fighter will be revealed on the next page.
