While it remains a mystery if the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather will ever happen, the bout could very well have a co main event already in the making. With fighters from both sports joining the conversation and obviously interested in making history (and banking themselves a few million dollars in the process) and taking part in what could be the first crossover card between boxing and MMA.
This week the legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr. expressed his interest in taking part of that event and he wasn’t shy about who he would like to face in the ring, none other than MMA legend Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva.
The potential card would now have 4 box-office monsters and with all the buzz it wouldn’t be a surprise if other fighters from both sports started looking for matchups and throwing their names into the mix.
Well, today the MMA legend responded via social media.
